About Eureka
Melbourne, Australia
The Eureka Tower in Melbourne is one of the tallest residential buildings in the world. It is named after the Eureka Stockade, a rebellion during the Victorian gold rush in 1854. This is incorporated into the building’s design with the gold crown representing the gold rush and a red stripe representing the blood spilt during the revolt.
This image was taken from the Queen Victoria Gardens which rewards its visitors with overall great views of the city. A green oasis within one of the most welcoming and vibrant cities in the world. A city I called home for 6 years of my life. And a city I will surely move back to in the future.
