Abruzzo, Italy.

During my 1 week visit to Abruzzo, a couple of years back, I spent a couple of nights photographing these historic fishing machines that dot the coastline.

This specific one was just so photogenic, and I ended up going back several nights to photograph it.

I remember the sky was incredibly beautiful. A spectrum of colors. While photographing I could see sections of the reef beneath me, and part of it is visible in the photograph.

I have a strong personal link with this photograph, as Abruzzo takes me back to my family roots. And although I have no relatives here, nor have I ever lived here; I used to spend a great time of my childhood here. One day I hope to go back and photograph more of its natural wonders.
