About The King Wizard
Iceland.
There is a beach in Iceland which is scattered with large blocks of ice, which have been disconnected from a nearby glacier. They float around at sea for a while, before washing ashore.
When I arrived at this beach, a number of mini-icebergs had washed ashore. And my first task was to find the perfect composition. Important for a strong composition; is the presence of a captivating subject. Many of the blocks of ice, were simply dull and un-inspiring. I remember walking up and down this beach frantically.
In the distance I saw this impressive chunk of ice. It resembled a throne. It was larger than most of the other lumps of ice. It was massive. It was dangerous getting up close to it, as it could easily tip over and crush you. Countless accidents have happened here. It was about 2 meters (7ft) high.
It was one of the first images I had taken that night. And it turned out to be my favourite one.
