Fjallsjokul Glacier, Iceland.

This impressive glacier is simply out-of-this world.  A kingdom of ice and crevasses.  The glacier lake itself is scattered with icebergs, large and small.  No image can do justice to the sheer size of this place.

I was freezing to the bone before taking this image.  When the sun finally rose, all I wanted to do; was to embrace that first warmth.  But I also knew I had to capitalize the moment and take the images I came here for.  If I waited too long, I might miss that moment.  A single cloud covering the sun; can ruin all the efforts taken to get here.  So, I photographed for a good hour, before finally taking a break, and started enjoying the warmth of the sun. Soon after that, the sky turned into an ocean of grey.  Luckily, I had taken the shots I came here for.  Mission Accomplished!
