Snaefellsness peninsula, Iceland.

I took this photograph on a beach on the Snaefellsness peninsula in Iceland. I was walking along this beach and noticed these gorgeous patterns in the sand. Being a volcanic beach, the sand has a darkish colour. I used a zoom lens and played around with different depth-of-field options. The result is a rather original abstract photograph of these rocks on a volcanic beach. It looks like a painting or drawing, but it is an actual photograph, without any post-processing.

Whenever I look at it, I get lost in the different patterns, and the many shades of brown. When enlarged on an acrylic face mount, it looks like an impressive work of art. It is one of those images I am considering having enlarged for my home.
