Iceland.

The Lady of the Mountain is the female incarnation of Iceland.  She is referenced in lots of Icelandic folklore and is part of Iceland’s culture.  She is usually depicted as a woman with a crown of ice on her head, from which fire erupts.

Iceland has some spectacular waterfalls.  When I saw these falls, they reminded me of the Lady of the Mountain.  So, I tried to be creative with this shot.  I photographed it with a low saturation, and an extremely long shutter speed, creating a sense of movement in the water and  the clouds above.  It is a dreamlike image.  The dark lava columns create an unreal background for the Lady of the Mountain.
