Photographing flowing water with extreme long exposures, can create surreal and sometimes surprising effects. I noticed these two boulders in the middle of a river and decided to try out a new composition. Easier said then done. Trying to venture over slippery rocks with a massive tripod, and equipment that costs the equivalent of a medium-sized car, is not for the faint-hearted. Pre-visualizing flowing water with a long exposure is difficult. However, this shot turned out exactly as I wanted it to be, creating the effect of a ghostly being, squeezing its way through this narrow passage.
