Singapore.

In landscape and cityscape photography, all the elements need to blend into perfection.  If some elements are off; you might get away with capturing a good image.  But if all elements are optimal; you will capture a perfect photograph.

On this morning all of Mother Nature’s elements blended into perfection.  It resulted into one of my best images of the Singapore skyline to date, and it is a favourite among collectors in Singapore. 

I cannot begin to count the amount of early rises I had to endure, trying to capture this photograph.  There was always something not quite right about the captured image.  I usually am very critical of my own work.  This viewpoint is about a 10 minute drive from my home in Singapore.  I would get into my car in the mornings and rush to this viewpoint, for yet another attempt.

On this specific morning, Mother Nature’s conditions were just perfect.  Still water creating gentle reflections, soft light, and a dreamy streak of clouds.  I never take these for granted and I considered myself extremely lucky this morning.  I used an ultra-wide lens to be able to capture the entire scene into one panoramic frame.  It’s a view of scenic Singapore that is rarely seen in one single frame.  On to the next one…
