About The Merlion
The Merlion is the true symbol of Singapore, representing a mythical creature with a lion’s head and the body of a fish. It is widely used to represent this city state and its people.
It is located in the Marina Bay area which is must-see if you’re visiting Singapore. Urban views don’t get more impressive than here. Living in Singapore, I pass this area almost daily and I am awestruck by the views every single time.
The Merlion has been photographed by many prominent photographers. In just about any type of light and from just about any angle. I wanted to give it a refreshing look. I waited for a clear, bright sunny morning, so I could capture this long exposure. Using a special glass filter, I tried giving it a dreamlike appearance. I don’t believe this has been done before. Due to its uniqueness, this photograph has been used in various magazines and web publications. It is now available as a limited edition, large format photograph of 75 prints only.
