Sometimes a very simple composition can yield an amazing result. When visiting the botanical gardens in Singapore, my attention was drawn to the striking lines in these leaves. It didn’t seem to make for a strong photograph at first. However, once I started playing with the light, which was beaming from all angles, I knew I was onto something with potential.

I loved the result. It’s is a simple but arresting image. It takes you on. The longer I look at the image, the more I get drawn into it.
