I like to stop and try and appreciate the beauty of the most common sights in nature.  It’s such a pity that they are there and we hardly notice them.  Grass Tree is a very common plant in Wilsons Promontory. It is that common that visitors hardly notice the beauty of it.   

This image was taken without a flash or any other artificial lighting. Still it looks like if it’s lit up from the inside. When photographed under the right light conditions, it makes for a magnificent abstract image.  It looks astonishing when enlarged on an acrylic face mount.
