Namadgi National Park, New South Wales, Australia

While visiting a good friend that lives in Canberra, Australia, we set out exploring the stunning landscapes around the area.  We came across this deserted homestead in Namadgi National Park. It is a magnificent part of history, remaining evidence of early settlers in this area. A family used to live an isolated life, at the mercy of the land. Livestock used to graze the area. Old, deserted tools are still spread all over this valley.

Unfortunately this is also a representation of the intense logging that took place in this valley. Luckily there’s a halt to this now, as this has been declared a National Park.
