Alpine National Park covers most of the high areas of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria. It’s a maze of valleys and rivers.

I captured a long exposure of this river with a natural dam, formed by beautiful bronze-colored rocks. The young, green plant just manages to survive the never-ending flow of water. A constant struggle.

I was eager to find out whether it would live to see the next spring, when this river would have a lot more water and a stronger current. But I never managed to make it back to this specific place unfortunately…Who knows…?
