Fjallsjokull Glacier, Iceland.

In the middle of summer, it never gets completely dark in Iceland.  But for a few hours, the sun still sets, and light levels drop.  A mystical aura fills the sky, as if you are on a different planet in a faraway galaxy.  This allows for some breathtaking imagery. 

I photographed Fjallsjokull Glacier at exactly that time.  Although it might seem like the image is digitally enhanced; it is not.  Soft background light was illuminating the scene in front of me, creating a dreamlike view.  It resembled a dream frozen in time…
