The Big Island, Hawaii.

I photographed this beach on Hawaii’s Big Island. Whenever I look back at this photograph, I can vividly remember that relaxing afternoon. It was the day before taking my flight from The Big Island back to Oahu. I wanted to take it easy on this last day. But when I got to this beach, my fingers got itchy again, and before I realized I was photographing. Unplanned, and with no specific pre-visualized composition, I took this photograph. I photographed with film, so I couldn’t judge the result at the moment. I spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the crashing waves, sitting underneath the palm trees which you can see in the back of the image. Can’t wait to get back there.
