"Tasmania is a very wet place. You can expect massive amounts of rainfall at any time of the year. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to photograph this reflection of Cradle Mountain while doing the Overland Track. The Overland Track is a 65 kilometer long hike, through the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. It travels through spectacular dolerite mountains, near beautiful waterfalls, and through a variety of fascinating ecosystems. The stunning scenery and the physical challenges of this mountain walk have ensured that the Overland Track has built an international reputation as one of the world's great wilderness walks. For a photographer, the downsize of this walk is that you are limited in how much photographic equipment you can bring with you. Carrying a backpack with supplies to last 5 days, can be a challenge in itself. I did this in winter, which meant that even more supplies had to be hauled along, in order to cope with the extreme cold conditions of this area.
